Cameroon – Legislation: Senate adopts China Visa Exempt Bill

Senate President Marcel Niat Njifenji has tabled before members of the Upper House of Parliament the bill on the reciprocal visa exemption requirements for holders of Diplomatic or Service Passport from Cameroon and China.

The bill that was already adopted by the lower house of Parliament was presented to the entire house during a plenary sitting.

The bill was examined within the Foreign Affairs Committee and defended by the Minister of External Relations Le Jeune Mbella Mbella.

While defending the bill, the Minister noted that the exercise is going to boost the existing friendship and cooperation ties between Cameroon and China.

The bill was adopted by the entire members of the Upper House on 7 th April 2017. The bill has been forwarded to the National Assembly for onward transmission to the President of the Republic for propagation.
