Cameroon, 2018 presidential election: A lion never gives up

- Advertisment -

Impossible is not Cameroonian, a lion never resigns, whatever the situation is. Paul Biya confirmed his candidacy for presidential polls on October 7, 2018.

On Monday 9th July 2018, Paul Biya gave the date for the presidential elections. Although many people thought he will not present himself, the Octogenarian still confirmed last Friday 13 July 2018, through his social media, twitter, that he is still candidate for this election.

Determined to fight till 2025, Paul Biya decided not to resign although last time INGWAT, his ex- counsellor told him through a letter writing that God wants him to handle the power to someone else.

“Dear compatriots in Cameroon and the Diaspora, aware of the challenges we must take up together to ensure a more united, stable and prosperous Cameroun, I am willing to respond positively to your overwhelming calls. I stand as your candidate in the upcoming presidential election” said the president Paul Biya.

Although in 2016 judges of South West and North West regions stricken asking for translation of all laws in Cameroon and everything coming in French, this time again a big mistake has been done by the president of the CPDM party, by announcing his candidacy through twitter only in French. What about Anglophones who are still fighting to stop this monolinguist in Cameroon?

We hope that this problem of real promotion of bilingualism will be in heart of the society, in next projects that will be given by other candidates of this presidential elections
