Faced with the failure of speaking for the tripartite consultation meetings, the staff of the Campost is heard his fed up. In Ngaoundere, the call for a strike launched on Monday by the union section of the company was widely followed.

Employed staff of the company Campost invaded the steps of the regional delegation for Adamawa Monday, November 26, 2018 to respond to the call of the strike slogan announced by the union section of the state company.

Dressed in the tenuous company, the ten strikers erected at the entrance of the building. To ensure the security of the premises, two police officers and two gendarmes are posted. To make them heard, the strikers have written on the signs pell-mell “Kaldadak Pierre Must Go”, “the staff claims the sums frozen for ten months” or “Paul Biya to help, the Campost in distress”.

Tritten by multiple meetings of tripartite consultation for several months, the demands of the staff of Campost are confined around a better working condition and a well being.

“Our demands, appear in a letter addressed to the Prime Minister. Basically, it is the payment of monthly salary within the deadlines, the payment of the frozen sums resulting from the protocol of agreement of the 30/06/17, the recapitalization of the Campost, the payment of the GAP relating to the non application of the Banks collective agreement “,

Thiery Baywé, shop steward.

While the successive tripartite meetings of April 17, June 30 and August 7 have allowed suspending several times the slogan of strike, the timing is not trivial.

“It’s an unlimited strike. We chose this season of contests knowingly to increase the pressure on the government. We know the impact that this will have on these users but we will ensure the minimum service “,

reassures Thiery Baywé. For now, leaders continue to turn a deaf ear and prefer to look elsewhere, counting as usual on the shortness of mobilization.
