In Ngaoundere, the Victoire Bilingual College is the happy establishment that hosted this closing ceremony for the 14th edition of Bilingualism Week. Sketchs, patriotic poems, cultural representations, and hymns, made the great articulations of this powerful moment. Celebrated under the theme “Bilingualism: A binding force for national integration, a springboard to peace and development” this moment was rich in teaching for young Cameroonian students :

” I remember from this day of bilingualism that bilingualism is really important for the Cameroonian youth, for the development of the future “,

says student Abou Daniel.

The teaching of living together was expressed during this ceremony, says Latifa, student,

“This moment made me understand that we are brothers and sisters in Cameroon, English or French speaking, a Cameroonian must speak both languages and live together as one people “.

This ceremony had its fall by a speech of reminder of the goal of this day by the representative of the prefect of the Vina :

“The purpose of this ceremony is to make students aware of the importance of our two official languages, to invite the teachers and administrators you are to express yourself in both English and French”
