The Adamawa regional delegation of Environment, Nature Protection and Sustainable Development joined the international community to observe this year’s World Environment Day themed “Beat air pollution”.
For the local commemoration in Ngaoundere the theme was put in a local context as to beat the tire burning activity in the open air and the increasing number of old vehicles that have a defective gas evacuation system. Ngaoundere is faced a big challenge of clinker dust that winds scatter in the sky. Gearing up to celebrate the World Environment Day, Saidou Sidiki and his teams members launched their campaign against air pollution this Tuesday 4, at Ngaoundere car park platform were people are burning the tires and the slaughterhouse where the dung of the beef are poured into the river. These two successive steps have been used to sensitize the actors of these two sectors of activities which participate by their actions in the air pollution.
